Ok now I'm lost, after working on the form for over two weeks asking all kinds of questions, and reading and more reading, i finally got this form to validate all areas alongh with produceing error messages where I want them to go. It even has a session on it to carry thye name filled in over to the thank-you page, along with an email of the responce sent to me. I'm lost because now i will have to find another idea to work on and help me continue learning.
Thanks ev eryone whom took time to help me out i could not have done it without all of you

Congratulations, Pat! You surely do come up with compelling titles for your threads. When I saw this one, I thought, "Okay, what's wrong now." It was very satisfying to read what you actually had to say.

To continue learning, I suggest that one thing you do is to help out people here, where you can. For me, it isn't an entirely altruistic task. I learn so much just from thinking about the various problems that others are trying to solve, double checking my answers against the manuals, and making useful discoveries through the inevitable diversions along the way. And the greatest benefit and satisfaction I get is when I put myself out there to offer some answer that I think will sorta-kinda work, and a member who knows so much more about it than I do follows up with a better way.

...Well, it looks like I have a change of life coming up, myself. I believe this is going to be my last post as a "Junior Member." Does that mean I'm going to have to start acting like an adult?

Thanks Salsa, OH no dont start acting like an adult, being a kid is much funner. Even my kids remind me of that daily. Well now i will work on getting some of the information from the suggestion form into a database and see how that works. This how I learn by reading stuff on here and in the books and manuals

db is a good next step. Do some simple updates, selects, inserts, deletes. Maybe something where you can add, edit and delete individual records as well as search them. That should keep you busy. ;)

Check the PHP library [webmasterworld.com] for some basic threads about mysql stuff.

let's not get crazy now Salsa ;)
