Forum algoritm

I think in the future i will write a forum, but i don't have clean mind about it, shall i store it in the files or make it in a database. How i can create a new topic or message in it? now i think it's very simple or not? see the database and form something like <div> where construct the message as i want? or i lost something? Thank you very much for help

For stability and efficiency, a database is best. However, a message board system is a BIG project to take on. There are lots of security issues to address. Might be a good learning curve to start with something smaller and work your way up.
