PHP with sending faxes

I like to set fax application with MYSQL and PHP support. Is there some the best fax solution which supports MYSQL?

In most custom applications I have written to work with fax servers it has been an email-to-fax gateway. A quick search for "open source fax server" or a search on sourceforge.net will turn up options, such as [hylafax.org...]
