Hi everyone :)

Well I am having a problem with my site. For some reason a lot of my pages run slow. I'm not sure if it is my hosting company or if its because I have added a lot of new features to my site lately.

I was curious if there are any sites that talk about best practices for speed.

Thanks :)

Wes

Do you perform database maintenance?

I assume you're using MySQL? If so, do a search for 'mysql table optimize'.

This could be your problem. However, your server may be screwed up. Or, like you said, maybe some of the features (code) you added is slowing things down.

I just got the book, Speed Up Your Site: Web Site Optimization
by Andrew B. King. I've just started reading it and it seems pretty good.
