View PHP before installing on the server

Hi,
Has anybody heard about a software that could allow to view/edit php script before uploading and installing on the server?

You have to install Apache MySQL and PHP for example, EasyPHP for Windows does it, for Linux you have to install MySQL if needed and start the services.

Thanks for your advise. I am using FrontPage 2003. Can I assume that Apache MySQL is already installed? If not, could I download the software?

I don't think they are installed.
Look for using "php offline", you will find many solutions, I use EasyPHP you can easily download for free.

Since you are using PHP
you also need to have MySQL

Install Red Hat 9
PHP , MySQL etc.. Are included
Plus you benefit from a very nice web editor
that nicely highlight PHP named: Quanta Plus
The only further download will be PHP my Admin

Install on a separated machine if you may or install
on a second hard drive and dual boot

If you are new to Linux I strongly recommend not installing
on the same hard drive than your actual MS OS

Linux requirements and partition and booting can be hermetic at your first encounter

Thanks everybody for support. I do have another machine to try Linux, although I even do not know what it looks like. As for the EasyPHP, I have downloaded it and will try too.
