eBook

looking for a PHP eBook "how to" if doable in PHP

I have no clue about eBooks software, don't even know what's the basic requirements are.
is there something in PHP that I could use in the making of an eBook. any tutorial?
Any "one size fits all" sofware that you know of?
At this point I am not too concern with security etc...
Just want to publish it on a website; do not even think about selling it.

Perhaps something in pdf creation?
If that's the case, then maybe mPDF? I find it very good

But since I don't know what I do :), if I have a PDF or a mPDF file then what is the next step as I believe eBooks are of a special format

There are actually several e-book formats.

First decide on the devices (kindle, etc) you want to support then you will know which formats to implement.

I got some info about kindle
I might just do it, just not sure if aside of being readable by windows, the format is readable by other e-readers, tablets, droid etc...
