We have installed a very well known (and free) php forum in our site (another developer actually set it up).
After 5-6 months, we now see the following error:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') ) AND t.forum_id = 0 ORDER BY t.topic_last_post_t [1064]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

This only appears when you try to visit the forum and you are not logged in. If you are logged in (from earlier visit), then no error appears.

Any idea what we should look and try to fix?
If we use the "prune" command of the forum admin console, would it fix the problem?

Thank you

how can anyone help you here if you dont even tell us what forum version you are using or give more data

it looks to me like you are using phpbb
you should try filling the form from this link and post it here or better on the phpbb.com site as the staff there knows alot more about their software than ppls here may do

[phpbb.com...]
