I'm between a rock and a hard place.
I migrated a huge site to the Rackspace Cloud SITE and I later found out that Rackspace Cloud SITES do not allow E-mail Piping. The official response was:
"Unfortunately our cloud sites environment (architecture) does not allow for email piping. One of the reasons is the way we have our mail server environment."
It is incredible that a basic feature that is offered by every $5/month cPanel shared host is not offered by a $149 Cloud Site account. It is such a basic and important feature that I honestly did not even bother to ask whether they had it before doing the switch, and just assumed they did.
My problem is I need a Managed Cloud Solution, of which this (Rackspace Cloud SITE) is the only one, and I can't afford to migrate to another server.
E-mail Piping is absolutely critical to the functionality of my site as it is the most popular method by far for my users to upload pics to their profile.
That is why I am between a rock and a hard place. Rackspace don't allow it, and I can't live without it.
So, what other alternative do I have? I am sure there is a clever solution that will allow me to pipe e-mails even without Rackspace supporting it. Perhaps by using a different server with cPanel just for the piping?
I am desperate and all ears.
