Not sure I've installed it correctly

I've been coding with PHP for about 8 years and am ready to make the leap into trying a framework.

I've followed the instructions here but I'm not sure I've done it all correctly

[framework.zend.com ]

If I go to [localhost:10081...] I get the Zend Server admin screen

But if I go to [localhost...] or [localhost...] (where there should be a file) I just get a 403 forbidden.

What might be the problem here? I may have fallen down at the bit where you add stuff to the httpd.conf file - I just added what I thought was needed at the end but I don't know if it's right. Similar with the hosts file.

I'd be really grateful for any help. Hopefully it's something simple - as you may be able to tell I have very little experience with servers, local or otherwise!

are you setting it up on a windows machine or *nix?

there are some comments that talk about some differences in your link.

I work with zend but I never did the actual setup and I even think ours is set up very poorly and might not be the best example.

You might try messing around with the path or just walk through step by step of the steps they have there and be 100% sure they are exactly the same.

Thanks for replying, it is a windows machine.

I might try installing a different wamp server, hopefully under the guidance of someone who's already done this! Haven't heard much evangelism about the Zend Server.
