We can create thumbnail of the video by php code , i want to create the thumbnail image of the uploaded document by user.
Does any one know any method or function ?

Not sure about .doc files, but if I remember correctly Ghostscript can do the pdf's. Not exactly sure on the specifics, but you should look into that. I'd also check some of the PHP script repositories as I'm sure this has been written already. Perhaps [phpclasses.org...] is a good place to start.
