Search Results Page in Wordpress

How does one use a different search results page for Wordpress?

I would like to have a separate search box search a particular category and show the results on another page, theoretically, within the directory of that category. I already know how to search a specific category.

When I do a particular search I would like the results to land in the category searched. For example, the results page would be something like this: mysite.com/category/?s=searchterm etc.

I don't know how to do it but if you had a snippet of code you were trying to work with we could probably look at it.

What have you tried so far?
