The latest version of ImageMagick doesn't enable jpeg support by default, you have to download the external library (did that), and then recompile ImageMagick..

I tried to do this, and still get the same error. Has anyone here had the same trouble, and managed to fix the problem? I'd appreciate an 'idiotproof' answer, please, hehe..

:)

Thanks.

A quick search found some similar issues and possible resolutions...

I noted the same problem last week and decovered the imagemagick
port does not support the jpeg codec by default any more.. To
fix this you need to rebuild, doing something like:

portupgrade -f -m '-DWITH_JPEG' ImageMagick-5.5.6_1

Other formats, like png, need to be added in the same way. A
real annoyance, IMO.
