Im looking for a php script / windows software that can check how many pages the websites have?
Using google site:www.domain.com is only show those pages being cache in google only.

There are plenty of open source spiders that are listed in a google search. They will do what you want, assuming you are looking for pages that are publicly available through links in a site.

I dont know what you need it for, your exact needs not just a vague concept. So you will have to evaluate that for yourself... That is why I suggested an open source spider, as you can then use only the code you actually need to get the job done. As a full blown spider is probably not what you need.

Xenu will do it, failing that, go to a 3rd party xml sitemap creator and run the desired domain
