I did a pretty stupid command-line error recently and have over-written my PHP command line files...

Both ./usr/local/bin/php and ./usr/bin/php
These files have be over-written with text files and my command-line version of PHP is obviously not working.

Php does however work fine on my web server. I do need to get the CLI working properly again since I have some crons using the command line.

All I can think of is totally re-installing PHP which I want to avoid the 30minute down-time and concerned about all my settings. I'm on WHM/CPanel.

Any ideas of a way to get my /usr/loca/bin/php file back so it's working again?

OK, here's another option I can perhaps try...

Not even sure it will work, but if anyone has a php (version 5.2.5) file (./usr/local/bin/php) on a cpanel/whm server they might be interested in sending me I can try see if that works. Just a stab in the dark - private msg me on here.

I think the best bet would be to reinstall

or as you say, download it and figure out what's missing
