Gmail/hotmail/yahoo mail contact list importer

I'm looking for a good contact list importer solution that I can use for my users to be able to efficiently:

- send invitations to their friends to join my website
- send website contact to their friends
- see which of their friends are already registered on my site

Is there a widely used professional solution / widget / add-on / etc for doing this? Would love to be able to hook up with users':

- Gmail
- Yahoo Mail
- Hotmail
- Any other bigname mail servers are a plus

Website is built in PHP with a LAMP stack.

Would be great if this solution was free / open-source as well...but open to any suggestions.

I don't know of any off hand, I would likely start with their services and see if there was an API available.

I haven't seen an open source one but there are some commercially available for cheap, although we use 1 but i can't mention its name here. Try google its easy to find
