Cookies and fsockopen question

Hi, i want to send a cookie when i try to reach a page so i can download a file which needs a login validation to download.

I do have the login info and all that, but i want to access it from my online vps, which all access i have is through shell.

My best guess is to use fsockopen to open a connection socket and then send the cookie, but i don't know how to do so.

Anybody knows something about it? I'll apreciate very much. Thank you.
