I am looking for a simple solution to change the look of a browse button found in a file upload facilty. All the solutions I have seen either change the button and text field to the same style, or include another button, and hide the <input type="file"> and somehow override the <input type="file"> which doesn't seem to work.
This is a very confusing problem, because there should be a basic way to style just the button. I have tried CSS, but cannot get at the button alone. What I want to do is change the background color of the button, but not the text field. Is this possible?
