how retrieve only a certain amount of data from mysql

Well I have everything working but I have like 20+ entries but I only what to retrieve 5 of them and I want them to be the newest entered ones in the database so its like this:

So those are kind of the titles. Thats what it looks like on the page after all the code. But I only what the ones that are in bold to be seen the other ones I don't even what to show up on the page.
