My hosting company is moving from PHP4 to PHP5 and I want to make sure my website will be ok before I upgrade to PHP5. I am using Joomla 1.0.13 and the components I use are as follows:

Community Builder 1.1
Community Builder Advanced Search 2.0.4
DS-Syndicate
Fireboard Forum 1.0.0-beta
Eventing
!JoomlaComment

The sever is a Linux v and it's currently running php 4.4.7 and mysql 4.1.21.

Will everything be ok if I change to php5?

Your best bet is to check joomla's documentation. As far as i'm aware, joomla can be run on php5. I looked at joomla's faq pages to help with a clients site a week or 2 ago, and pretty sure it says the software is compatible with php5.

But like i said, double check on joomla's site. If your still
not sure, ask their support

Thanks! I've spoke to a few people that have said php5 has been around for a while so any newer version of joomla and other components should work fine.
