Freeware PHP Image Gallery

Anyone know where I can find a good one?

I'm looking to set up an online portfolio of my artwork and samples of my design work. Not being a PHP programmer, this seems a bit beyond my current skills.

I've searched for a decent script but can't seem to find any that have the results I'm looking for.

What I'm after is a script that will do the following:

  1. Generate a list of thumbnails on the page (does not have to create thumbnails) from all images in a given directory.
  2. Show the "full size" image when the user clicks the thumbnail, preferably with "Previous" and "Next" navigation.
  3. Automatically generate the "height" and "width" parameters of the IMG tag for the full size image.
  4. Pull descriptions for the full size image from a .txt file for output in the HTML.

When I search for "free php gallery scripts" I get tons of results with lots of scripts that don't meet the above criteria. I'm sure there has to be one out there, it's just taking a while to find it. If anyone happens to know where a script like this can be found it would save me a lot of time.

Thanks in advance.

Hi katana_one,

I made a script that I think will meet your needs. It is super easy to use. You can see, and download it here:
