How did they create these lists using PHP?

No experience in PHP, Complete novice.

I'm rebuilding our website.

I don't know how to get my new web pages to create the members-lists just like the old web pages do on the old site.

Are the members-records stored in a database?
How can I create members-lists like the old webpage has, but within my new face-lifted webpage?

I am at beginner level or below on PHP. At first I thought these were just flat lists in html.

Please simplify it for me and explain what I need to do?

Thanks in advance.

First, some admin is gonna remove your links. We're not supposed to reference most outside sites in our postings.

Second, I peeked at the new site. They are using some kind of a content-management system, like WordPress or Movable Type. These systems have that all built-in, and are a far bigger topic than you may want to hear. In fact, it may even be done in other languages, like Perl or Ruby.
