help finding program

Hello,

My website's niche is mushing and dog sled racing, and at this time I am looking for a much better way to host race results and an event/race calendar. Does anyone know where I could find an open source PHP program that does something like this?

Any program used for human running races would work quite well once I modify it to the "mushing" scene.

Basically, something that would allow my users to search for races by type (e.g. distance, weight pull, sprint), or by location, and allow the race directors to post their results and information easily.

I have been searching for a program that fits what I need for quite a while; but yet to find anything good.

I only use PHP programs. No ASP, JavaScript, etc...
