Takes ages to load phpbb2

HI,

I am new to web servers. I've just installed phpbb2 on my computer, it's a vanilla version. When I open it at home, the pages come up quiet fast but when I tried to open the page at work, it takes a long time, sometimes even time out. Any idea why is that?

The best thing to do is to check the phpbb forums [phpbb.com] if the issue you have is already discussed there. Product specific questions are best answered on their respective discussion forums.

When you say you've installed it on 'my computer' are you running LAMP/WAMP or something like that?
