I am not very knowledgeable with server-side scripts, so I spent the last few hours looking for something(in PHP would be best) that can do a common task for me. I HAVE ALREADY SEARCHED sites like hotscripts.com, so unless you can link me a page which lists scripts which do what I want, it won't be helpful.
Through all my searching, I have not been able to find a script which can (text) search multiple databases (mySQL) as well as (but not very important, at least for now) static site content, and submit the results together. I have only seen ones which create link indexes, index files and non-database content, OR ones that search just one database, not all the databases plus the site.
Such a thing seems so very common, you'd think it would be easy to find (it has not been). I am hoping I can get some information on free programs which can do this, in forms such as personal description, host sites, results page(s) of scripts of what I want, or similar sorts of things.

I terms of getting a script to search multiple databases, that's not hard. You may have some problems searching static content sites as many may ban you after a while, but, you can use cURL through PHP.
