I saw this some time ago, but cant find where I saw it.

Any ideas on how I could present links to pages within
my site that normal users typically wouldn't see but a spider
could?

Im not sure if that is a php question...

Use CSS {visibility:hidden;} will hide the content from view.
Use a 1x1 px image and link from that.

There are loads of ways to do it. However you may want to ask around in the SEO area, as many of these techniques are not liked by search engines.

it's called cloaking

try this Cloaking Primer [webmasterworld.com] from the Cloaking Forum [webmasterworld.com]

cloaking is not something you want to play around with, you have to get it right, if spiders find that you are cloaking you can get banned.

Look through threads in the cloaking forum for information

wow, thanks to all for the info. I though that I might just add keywords to a page. Its not worth the risk to me especialy since I can just add the keywords in a story.

probably the best bet

I think that in this situation the risk will far outweigh the reward
