PHP Font Height and Width

Trying to get a normal font size and ratio and I can't find a reference on the internet (Except tons of stuff on html and css font info)
Anyone know a good source of font size descriptions/info?

Oh, I've googled it! Trying to determine font standards is flacky at best!
