Checking dimensions of PDFs

Can GD be used to check the dimensions of PDFs? While we're on that, can it be used for RAW jpgs and PSDs? Or do I need another library?

I do not think GD has this ability (but I could be wrong).

You might get lucky at sourceforge [sourceforge.net] or any of the other script repositories, however, my feelings aren't very good about this one. I'm not too familiar with this subject so maybe someone with more knowledge can chip in ;)
