Although it happens every year twice, something always seems to mess up when the time "falls back" (the longest day) -- in the Spring, things just "don't happen" because 1am through 1:59:59am never happens at all [crontab misses]. Things happening twice, like automatic backups, can make for an intereting Sunday morning read of the system blogs. Why else would we run those things at such an ungodly hour?
