Problem with &nbsp in FF and Opera

But display correctly with IE

Whenever I use &nbsp to diplay a space, it correctly display space in IE but in Firefox and Opera it display '&nbsp'.

How can I resolve it?

You appear to have omitted the semi-colon on the end. It should be   (And I can confirm that it works in Firefox when used correctly ;) )
