wamp all in one package

localhost page returns "page cannot be display"

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure this is the right category for my question. Sorry admin for the trouble.

I'm doing a project which is building a dynamic website using local HDD as my host/server.

I have downloaded a package/software (WAMP5 1.6.4) from wampserver. I on all the services and keep it online. But when I use IE to browse "http://localhost". IE gives unstable outcome. IE either shows "the page cannot be display" or the correct local page.

Same thing applies to phpMyAdmin and SQLiteManager. I can't reach the page thus failed to config anything. I can't figure what's going wrong.

Guys, please advice or point me to resources. Or is WAMP5 1.6.4 a suitable package? Thanks a lot in advance.

I dont run my computer as a server, but use it for testing scripts and have used XAMPP to setup apache/php/mysql and it works nicely. I think it will allow you to also run as a server/host, but not exactly sure.
