I need a new webbased email system based on PHP. Hivemail was great but I guess a key programmer left and it's been static sense which is a bummer.

I'm interested in template based system, filters, some sort of learning spam filtering, blocking based on words, maybe even blocking based on inability to spell words once that misspelling has hit a total %, ability to turn on/off HTML emails. Address book, but I don't need a calendar.

Thanks, those two come with many hosts I've encoutnered or dealt with. What else is there? I'll have to install and test these out over time to determine which one I'll end up converting to.

I don't usually like to dwell on an application's flaws, but Socketmail is unquestionably the least templatable web application I have ever seen, and includes some of the very worst html in the entire history of the universe.

Yeah, but how do you really feel about it? ;)

No comment, never used the software, just had to chime in and have some sport this afternoon ;-)

Actually, I liked some of the features, but trying to template the system was so awful I couldn't stand to work with it.

I should point out that my experience was not with the new version they're plugging on their site at the moment. Perhaps they've improved...
