I've been shown a website that has a PHP script that allows the site owner to add extra keywords, areas and page text in from the admin panel. When somebody does a search it will then generate a page to fit those details.

e.g. Somebody does a search for plumbers in Pontypridd. A result would appear in Google for the website showing a page with all the area details replaced by Pontypridd. It would be the same for Worcester, Norwich etc.

Does anybody know if this script is available either free or commercially as this would be a useful thing to use in CMS websites?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, KGrundy60.

On-site search provides many options for you, including customizing content delivery to the user. Or even creating an entirely new page, as you have been shown. I wouldn't doubt there are free versions out there but if not, it would be quite easy to write your own.

Can it be useful? Absolutely. But be careful if you are creating entirely new pages so that your content doesn't appear "spammy".

There are crawler algorithms designed to check for changing content. So as the previous member suggested, be aware of the risks.
