I am looking to add "local" news & weather to a site
any Basic (easy) scripts that will generate content that can be spidered?

on the weather side - I noticed one that was generating an image of the weather vs. text

on the news side - headlines from services like moreover is not viewable with a text (lynx) browser, which I believe means that SEs will not "read" it / rank it

any suggestions for easy scripts for the above?

I added a weather script to a site I had. The major weather websites all will provide a script for you to use after signing up. It just takes a little digging.

After you get it up, check out the performance of your site with the script running. I took the script off because I thought it was causing a slowdown.

I have found multiple scripts - the problem is I do not believe they are generating "text" that can be spidered (as per my above post)
