seeking a php spider that will pull metas, description, will crawl sites, and dump all results to mysql database -- any thoughts?

I've not seen anything that fits the bill, unfortunately. The closest I've seen is snoopy [sourceforge.net], which is a PHP class for developing spider programs rather than a fully fledged script.
