Hi all
I'm still learning and not familar with php at this point. A client has asked me to have information sent off a form entered automatically into a database at the hosted site. At present this info is entered manually. The site is not ecommerce enabled at this stage but merely asks for registration via a form.

Do I need a php programmer? Is this in fact a php application? Or is this something i can simply instruct the host server to do for me?

thanks

hey antipodes,

It isn't all that intensive but you will need to be somewhat familiar with php to do it.

First is the db mysql? if not what type of database is it?

Start at php.net and search for "mysql_connect" that will get you started. It shouldn't be a huge task but you will need to know something of PHP and SQL.
