Looking for good online resources...

Hi everyone,
Could someone please point me to a url/s where there are excellent courses on php programming?
The ones I've come across don't provide as much content as I would like to have.
I'm a newbie in this field and would appreciate any kind of help

Hi,

Dev Shed (http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP) has some great PHP articles.

PHP Builder (http://www.phpbuilder.com) also has good beginner tutorials.

I'd advise you to buy a PHP book, something like "Beginning PHP4" from the Wrox Programmer to Programmer series. It's quite expensive but worth the money.

Check out Ebay, you`ll find some useful cheap books on there. Or Amazon, there are some quality cheap used books to be had on there too.

I keep 'PHP/MySQL for Dummies' as a quick reference. It covers the basics quite well.
