Hi tyemqn,

I don't know about alignment of text, but this thread should help with the breaks and new lines. In particular, grahamstewart's post (Post #3) :)

I am working on a job application form. I have a textarea for applicant to copy/past their resume to the textarea. In other page the display/view of that resume have to be the same format user inputed into textarea.

if you are member of <snip>.com go to upload your RESUME page and upload your resume with TEXT ONLY. COPY/PAST your resume and preview you will see what i mean. Can someone help me with this........please!

Wruk999 - Thanks for your help

what have you tried? Is there something specifically that you cant get to work? The formatting chars should be in there.

If I used more than 1 space it doesn't display likes inputed. (ex: I try to display words in center or indent more than one space when I view whatever inputed it should display the same as I inputed......in my case - RESUME FORMAT) It displays just one space and doesn't indent. I hope you understand what i mean. :)

The link that jatar_k listed has examples as well as code posted by other users. You'll find that the online PHP Manual pages have quite a bit of useful information that should get you over the beginning stages. If you get stuck, come here and post your issue and there are plenty of good folk that will assist.
