*.php files in search engines

...are they indexed?

Just wanted to check whether search crawlers index *.php pages, so long as they are static and regularly linked (i.e. not dynamically generated using forms and a database) - I assume they should be, as I gather that the 'bot sees the rendered output of the script the same as any other (text) browser, but it never hurts to make sure :)

File extensions don't matter a great deal from a search engine point of view, as long as the content delivered is in a format they understand.

Some examples:

PHP pages in Google [google.com]

PHP pages in Alltheweb [alltheweb.com]

PHP pages in Altavista [altavista.com]

Doesn't matter. All of my pages are really php sites and they do just fine :D Its when you start adding the hugh strings of messy variables is when it gets sticky :D
