Its simple to install, and once you get into it, you can look deeper at the SQL and PHP needed to do what you want - in the fastest way possible...
I'm getting into the habit of just using basic text files to build a db and upload them with the above program.
It's maybe also worth downloading php and mySQL to run on your own computer so you can get used to it without sitting through a not so good connection.
MySql front appealed as it involved no control panels etc and I could get straight on and do some work!
How many hosts allow "anyone" access to their MySql databases?
