I am in need of help in finding a news system. I've searched all over and can't find a news system that serves my needs. The MAIN thing I can't find in any of them is a category system ironically. Which I think should be common place.

Meaning:

All news systems I found just list the latest articles added.

I need:

The main page have the list of sections...Sports, Politics, Entertainment, etc.. When clicked in one of those sections, it still doesn't show the full article, just the title.

MOST OF ALL:

I don't want a complex template based system, preferable to just have a php include function.

Can someone please help and point me to a news system like this? I just spent the last 5 hours searching and frustration is setting in right now.

If you aren't finding one that meets your needs you may have to take those that do and modify them. Or you could always roll your own.
