magic quotes and add addslahes

Do i need strip /add any more

after i have turned on magic quotes ,do i ever need to use add slashes and remove slashes every again?

am i secure in relation to bad characters getting into my data once i turn on magic quotes?

Thankyou, it Dam interestesting and exactly what i needed . i also picked up the stuff on sql injection which is plain scary. but now i can be prepared
