If alta needs more than 4 months to merge databases, the sooner they close the better.

And the arrogance of "webmasters know updating takes time" with the implicit "users won't notice"...

Oh well, they will either have to do something radical to improve fast, or in 12 months this alta forum will be a history.

As said in the other thread [webmasterworld.com] the merger has been predictable and could in the end improve the quality of local AVs. The way they go about it though is to my mind scandalous.
