I have just moved to #1 in the serps for my keyword after a year sitting between #4 and #7
The link count for my site has reduced by 2.
Did i miss some kind of update recently ?

after a more careful examination of the link:<xxx> results i have found my link count has increased by 5 (not decreased by 2 as previously stated)

Seems to me that in the last couple of days positions have changed lots. Don't see any pages added but existing pages have moved around.

This tells me that AV is still cleaning up things. Has anyone had pages drop recently?

Oh boy, something good on AV, that's new. I don't see any new pages added, but I do see new better rankings. A term that I am top 5 for on Google and was always 'page' 5 on AV just moved to a #3 ranking.

Hmmm

The more i look at it the more it looks like an algo change. The results do *seem* to be more relevant.

Go AV!
(before it really is too late)
