I've been well visited by Scooter for the last thre days or so... seeing a slight increase in AV referrals too (as in a jump from 0-2 to 10-20/day)... AND they FIANLLY removed all of our outdated pages from their database, after I emailed them I-don'-t-know-how-many-times over the last few months about it...

They've been down for so long, I wonder if this is their big push to clean up the DB before going PFP? Gotta make the results look like something worth paying for, before you start asking people to pay, right?

Hello mivox

We were hit pretty good by Scooter on 24/May. And we also have seen over the last few days an increase in referrals from AV, doubling their percentage referrals to our site, and now coming in at about 10%. AV added about 60 pages last week to our hundred we already had in there. This might be the cause for the jump in referrals for us.

But, our pages are also showing well for their keywords. One page we posted about two months ago but never submitted is in the db and showing up on the first serp, indented off the main page as most of ours are it seems.

I'm not sure what AV is planning, but whoever is in charge should realize the value of the name recognition of Altavista, and not let it slip away. A little advertising and a little excitement could bring it right back up again. Or so I hope.
