Well, a long time ago, when I wasn't thinking straight I submitted all of my pages even though they were not optimized. Would there be a way to get them out of the AV index? If I made them all 404's would AV throw them out? Thanks, -Greg

404 should, but it may take some time. Dead pages have a way of living after death in AV.

Would resubmitting the 404 pages help quicken the process of getting them erased from the database?

Greg, yes, it will. It'll bring forward the spider to index "just that one page." You'll still have to wait for the db to update, of course.
Note - don't overdo the submissions for the 404 - it could be taken as spam and the whole domain comes out!

If a page is already indexed in AV, does anyone know how often a spider re-visits that page? I want to make some changes to a page and hoping that the spider comes back ASAP. Maybe it's better to just re-submit it?

My experience with AV is that it takes a while to come around. I always end up with my pages submitted long before I ever see Scooter.
