I used to have two sites that did well on AV for a four word keyword set until they twiddled with their algorithms. Now the only way I can get my sites to come up in a decent position is to include part of the domain name into the search terms. For example, if my domain name is foo-bar.com and I sell high energy kryptonite capsules, I used to have a site at number 2 under the terms "high energy kryptonite capsules". Now there's nothing, anywhere under these terms. But if I search for, say, high energy foo capsules I get a good return. It's too early to tell, and I have admittedly not done any extensive testing, but it seems like AV is using an algo that is more heavily dependant on the presence of keywords in the domain name. Anybody else notice this?
