If you look though, it is still using the EUSearchEngine.dll which does not get your site into the main index.

Please could you enlighten me on the EUSearchEngine.dll and it's use? I've never come across it.

The EUSearchEngine.dll specifies which index to use for the search. The 'EU' is for Europe so it does not get into the main index that is used in searches in the US.

[uk.altavista.com...] This is interesting. It looks like the same program which sends out the Scooter/1.0 spider is also bablefishing. One could only speculate how they are cross referencing that data, but the fact that they are both running out of the same application makes it likely that they are cross referencing. And, what does that mean for State side submissions(?)...
