I had a question in email where a guy said he was banned for running a spider on Altavista (I assume it was web pos gold). Anyone smell anything like that around?

Yeah I ran Web Position Gold this weekend and it came back with no returns for Alta Vista but then my supervisor pointed out that I have an old version of WPG so i updated and now everything is hunky dory... :)

Yes, it must so it is true. :-( It is the same with automated submission (which is stupid thing to do with the big 8 SEs). They have put in a clause where you have to copy in a series of letters into a submission code box, however, they've made these letters pictures, and not only that, they've distorted the pictures so an OCR can't read them!!! Sounds like an all out offensive on promoters!!!
