1pm est friday. A huge update in my corner of alta (music/audio/mp3/wav). Dropped under 4 big keywords and gained under 2 others. Net result - numbers are already down in the last hour...bummed

Could this be specific to some sectors? My positioning unchanged for several different sites on different subjects - none are consumer-type sites - they are all business to business.

I gained one spot in top 10 and gained 3 spots in second ten for my other site. Consumer products.

I gained one place in the top 10 in one site, lost one place 3 to 4 in another (but a further page got indexed in the top 30) - a third site stayed the same

Upon further review, what happened to our listings was too much success. We were #1 and #2 under 5 top music searches. Both those positions fell. Alta has been doing this alot with #1 and #2 listings. I think they have a tracker on the number of searches a page comes up under and then nuke the listing when it gets to a certain point. I've seen #1 and #2 drop out of sight many times in the last few months while the rest of the listings remain ok (under all bigger searches).
