Question about AV spidering

Any idea how long AV is taking now between the time of submission and the time of spidering?

They've been all over my site lately, starting within a day or two of submission this week. Last submit, it was also within a couple of days...

However, they don't ever seem to add the spider data to their database anymore...

I can't imagine what's going on with new sites being spidered but not added. I'm suspecting/wondering if this is headed to paying - it kind of *feels* like it with this waiting game.

Sheesh.... I certainly hope not. If nothing else, people who submitted pages before the switch to paid listings (if that's inded what they're doing) should get their pages updated into the DB.

However, at this point, I'm getting annoyed enough by it that they're fading off my list of SEs to use. If they don't start updating soon, I have a feeling I won't be the only one going elsewhere, and that's not going to help convince people to give them any money.

Correct me if I just wasn't paying attention, but it seems like Ink did the transition pretty smoothly. AV should've been taking more notes if they were going to follow suit...

Anyone hear any news or rumors on this one?

I wouldn't really have said that Ink did the transistion smoothly at all... there were massive problems and inconsistences with free submit in the weeks/months before they started their paid spidering.

It's all just getting a little frustrating, not to say worrying. Just Google and Fast left of the majors that ever seem to take notice of my new sites.

So far, FAST is the only one who's picked up on my most recent updates... but Lycos picked up that update fairly quickly. I'm still waiting for Google/Yahoogle to catch up. I'm really disappointed in AV though... they used to be the fastest update on the web.

I'm going to try contacting them, and see if I ever hear anything back.
